A Closer Look…
We released a few videos since the last newsletter dropped but we wanted to give y’all a more personal look at one in particular. Here’s why Melissa wanted to make a video about fancy food.
I used to think the best food was served in on fresh pressed linen cloth, but dang was i wrong. I wanted to redefine how we see good food and try to make a more inclusive food scene.
So, if we were to take one lesson away from these videos, it’s to do our best to separate price from our perception of value. Sometimes great things come cheap, and if we focus our valuations around the work and the love put into every bite , it can be all the more worthwhile.
What’s Next?
Later this month, Sabrina is going to try to figure out how machines in dating apps find your match
We’ll also be doing another Powerful Point livestream! Have ideas on what topic we should debate? Shoot us an email!
Recommendations
Taha’s Playlist Recommendation: You Got This, Listen on Spotify @AnswerinProgress
We put together some songs that you can blast in the morning to get you outta bed. Let’s start small and make this year better, we hope this playlist helps spark some joy:)
Melissa’s Netflix Recommendation: Ugly Delicious S02E02 Don’t Call It Curry hosted by David Chang.
If you’re into learning about food, culture, and flipping off pretentious food snobs, this is the series for you. This episode in particular, made me reconsider how I view fancy things and try to appreciate the more simple things. You should just take my word for it and watch it - I recommend eating a snack while you do ,)
Sabrina’s Channel Recommendation: Iluli by Mike Lamb
Interested in pop psych and technology & love gorgeous visuals? This channel has it all. I stumbled on it while researching animation styles and was shocked at how little traction the channel has. The content is well written (definitely tailored more for those who dig the productivity genre) and the animations are incredible. Check them out and tell ‘em Sabrina sent ya :)
